Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are built in; their generation determines connection stability and speed to routers and peripherals.
What the numbers mean
- Wi-Fi generations โ newer generations (Wi-Fi 6, 6E, 7) handle crowded networks and many devices better than older ones; the laptop and the router both matter.
- Bluetooth โ connects headphones, mice and keyboards; newer versions improve efficiency and audio quality.
How it affects your choice
For home use with a modern router, any recent Wi-Fi generation is sufficient. In office environments with many overlapping networks, a newer generation reduces stutter in video calls. Beyond checking the generation in the spec sheet, there is nothing to configure at purchase.
