Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H review

A six-core 2060 platform at the exact class median price

The Legion 5 15IMH05H (2020) pairs a six-core i7-10750H with an RTX 2060 6GB and 64GB of RAM at $750 — dead on the gaming-class median of $749.56. The readings place it honestly below the middle on three axes: reliability at 35 against 53, mobility at 21 against 29, and graphics at 66.39 against 78.49. The capability sheet confirms the platform: Overwatch, Grand Theft Auto V and Rainbow Six Siege at recommended, Photoshop and Visual Studio Code at minimum. Median money for a mid-tier platform with documented receipts — the class's standard arithmetic.

What the 2060 platform confirms

The rec-bar trio plus the software minimums document the platform end-to-end: 1080p-high gaming of its generation with the professional second career provisioned by the 64GB class-norm ceiling. The six-core 10750H carries the compute side without drama — a balanced, proven configuration with no unmeasured corners.

The three below-median readings, honestly weighted

Reliability at 35 — 34% under the median — is the headline caution on a five-year chassis: mild rather than disqualifying, priced into the median ticket. Mobility at 21 reflects the Legion 5's solid construction, and graphics at 66.39 is the 2060's standard 15% discount to the current class middle. None of the three is a surprise; together they explain why the platform trades at the median rather than above it.

Depreciation: standard mid-curve pace

From a $1,800 anchor the price has decayed to $750 at 12.3% annually, projecting to about $577 in two years — a further 23%. The curve matches the platform's age; there is no arbitrage in it, only predictability.

Against the neighbors

A Legion Y540-17IRH at $789 and a G7 7500 at $798 sit above; an Inspiron G7 7790 at $700 and a Legion Y7000P at $700 sit below. The bracket is the 2060 value shelf; this seat trades at its exact middle — the reference price of the reference platform.

Bottom line

Fairly priced by construction: the class-median ticket on the class-median platform with a complete receipt sheet. For the buyer who wants a proven 2060 machine without paying for positioning or gambling on the discount shelf, this is the middle of the road, fully documented.
