Dell Inspiron 15 7573 review

Where the Inspiron 15 7573 stands

The Dell Inspiron 15 7573 is a 2017 convertible consumer laptop positioned at the upper edge of the budget tier — roughly $313, slightly below the category median of $356. As Dell's 2-in-1 15-inch offering from that year, it offers a balanced profile with a binding weight trade-off. The GPU score of 0 places it at the bottom of its category for graphics; the weight of 2.3 kg is 59% above the median of 1.45 kg.

The 2-in-1 form factor

The 7573's value proposition is its 2-in-1 design — touch input, stylus support, and tablet-mode flexibility for media consumption, presentations, and casual creative work. As a 15-inch convertible, it offers more screen real estate than typical 13-inch convertibles, making it suitable for users who want a larger canvas for tablet-mode use.

Weight: the binding constraint

The 7573's defining trade-off is weight. At 2.3 kg — 59% above the category median of 1.45 kg — the machine is heavy for a convertible, particularly in tablet mode. The 15-inch form factor combined with the convertible hinge mechanism adds bulk that buyers will feel during extended portable use. For desk-bound or occasional-portable workflows, the constraint is acceptable; for frequent transport, it is not.

Price trajectory

From its launch price to $313 today, the 7573 has depreciated but retains moderate value as a 2017 convertible. The projected price two years out represents a gradual further decline. The depreciation curve is past its steepest phase.

How it compares

In the $295-$335 refurbished convertible range, the 7573 sits among 2017-2018 alternatives. The Dell Inspiron 13 7373 at $299 and the HP Pavilion x360 at $319 are direct competitors with similar trade-offs but smaller form factors. The 7573's distinguishing factor is its 15-inch canvas — for buyers who want a larger 2-in-1, it is a reasonable pick.

Bottom line

The Inspiron 15 7573 is a 2017 2-in-1 consumer laptop defined by its form factor and weight trade-off. Its 15-inch canvas and touch input make it a credible pick for buyers who want a larger 2-in-1 for media consumption and casual creative work. At $313, it sits slightly above the category median, reflecting the 2-in-1 premium. The trade-off — heavy weight for a convertible — defines its limits for portable use.
