Performance scores
A 2013 EliteBook 8570p with a vintage dGPU and mobility at the floor
The HP EliteBook 8570p (2013) pairs a 3rd-gen Intel Core i7 3520M with an AMD Radeon HD 7570M dGPU and 16 GB of RAM, landing at $152 — well below the business-class median of about $297. The graphics score of 45.85 places it in mainstream territory, but the underlying Radeon HD 7570M is a vintage entry-level dGPU whose modern capability is limited. The honest weak spot is mobility (11, very low), reflecting a heavy 2013 chassis. Capability data shows the dGPU cannot sustain minimum play on Far Cry 5 or Metro Exodus.
A vintage dGPU whose placing flatters it
The Radeon HD 7570M was an entry-level dGPU when new in 2012, and its score of 45.85 sits well above the category median because the typical business laptop has integrated graphics only — but this is a vintage chip that cannot run modern titles, as capability data on Far Cry 5 and Metro Exodus confirms. The honest framing is "everyday media and legacy titles only".
Mobility is the honest ceiling
The weak spot by level is mobility (11 against a median of 60), which reflects a heavy 2013 chassis with a small battery by modern standards. Reliability at 14 is also very low. This is a machine to keep at a desk for stationary light duties, not for travel.
Slow depreciation, near the floor
From a base near $1300, the laptop has settled to $152 at roughly 6.2% per year, with a projected value around $134 in two years. The curve has flattened — most of the value has already been lost.
Vintage peers bracket it
Slightly pricier options include the HP EliteBook 2170p ($175) and HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 ($167); cheaper alternatives include the Dell Latitude E6330 ($144) and HP EliteBook 2570p ($130), which offer similar vintage business hardware for somewhat less.
Bottom line
The EliteBook 8570p is worth considering only as a very cheap, stationary machine for light media and legacy titles, where the vintage dGPU and very low mobility are acceptable trade-offs. For most buyers, slightly pricier peers with newer platforms are the better spend.
