Performance scores
Top-Band Office in a 2026 Flip, With One Composite Catch
The HP EliteBook X Flip G2i 14" (2026) carries the same Core Ultra X7 358H, Arc B390, and 64 GB as the clamshell G2i — the batch's joint-top office platform — wrapped in a convertible chassis for $1,500. It is the most expensive EliteBook in this batch, and its sheet is nearly identical to its twin's.
Where it holds up
Office work reads 98.34 in the top band, jointly the highest in this batch. Reliability posts a perfect 100, memory doubles the convertible median at 64 GB, and the Arc B390 lifts the graphics reading to 21.65 — more than five times the class median of 3.84. Gaming reaches the mid band at 42, and portability stays high-band at 83.3 even with the flip hinge, matching the clamshell exactly.
Where it falls short
The composite score reads 39 against a class median of 46 — the one below-median verdict, mirroring the clamshell G2i. The creation axes stay low (modeling 19, engineering CAD 22, photo design 22), and the game entries do not back the gaming index: Grand Theft Auto V, Far Cry 5, and Battlefield 5 all fail their bars in the record, so no gameplay claim is made here.
Price and depreciation
The listing price is $1,500 — the top of this batch's EliteBook range. As a 2026 entry, no depreciation curve is modeled yet; the 0% rate is an empty projection, not a promise.
Alternatives to consider
The clamshell G2i (2026) is the identical platform and scores for $200 less if the hinge is not needed. The X Flip G1i (2025) saves $225 with a reliability reading of 86 but no discrete-class graphics.
Bottom line
Fairly priced for the class — at the premium end of it. Top-band office, perfect reliability, and the strongest graphics of this EliteBook generation, in the one chassis that also flips.
