Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 (2024) — the doubled-reliability business frame
The ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 at $1,007 runs an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U with 64 GB of RAM. Reliability is the flagged strength: 85, up 100% on the business-class median — doubled, high band, top quartile. Graphics log a zero: the scoring pipeline has no matched entry for the integrated GPU, a coverage gap rather than a literal score.
Where it holds up
Office productivity at 96.05 — top band — leads the sheet, with the 64 GB memory tier sitting 60% above the class median in the pro tier. Photo design reads mid at 35 and portability mid at 45.7 for the 16-inch business body — the shape a deploy-fleet machine wants. For a buy-once, deploy-for-years office machine, the doubled reliability figure is the headline.
Where it falls short
The flagged weakness is graphics — the unmatched entry above. The low bands follow: gaming 19, 3D modeling 27 and engineering CAD 33. Value at 47.55 (mid) prices the platform fairly; the graphics columns stay unverified until a hands-on check resolves them.
Price and depreciation
No depreciation anchor is recorded (base $0); no curve or projection applies. The cohort rate is 11.27% per year — a moderate slope for the business tier.
Alternatives to consider
The ThinkBook 16 Gen 6 at $886 offers the resolved graphics score with office at 94.46 for $121 less. The ThinkBook 16 Gen 8 at $1,144 adds the H-class CPU with reliability 92. The Gram Book 15.6 at $1,232 is the cautionary comparison: less office, less reliability, more money.
Bottom line
Fairly priced for the class. The doubled-trust business frame: reliability 85 with office 96.05 and 64 GB — graphics unverified by the pipeline, CAD 33 the resolved floor.
