Performance scores
Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Ultra (2026) — the RTX 5060 in the thin shell
The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra at $1,400 is the surprise of the 2026 Galaxy shelf: a Core Ultra 7 356H with a GeForce RTX 5060 (8 GB) and 32 GB of RAM in an ultrabook-class body. The flagged strength is graphics performance at 69.57 — eighteen times the class median; the flagged weakness is weight at 1.79 kg, 22.6% above typical.
Where it holds up
The discrete 5060 lifts the sheet clear of every integrated sibling: gaming posts 87 (top) and photo design 90 (top), with Overwatch, Grand Theft Auto V and Rainbow Six Siege clearing their recommended bars. Reliability reads 85 (+66.7%), performance posts 65.15 (high, 56.2% above median), and portability holds 43 (mid) — the honest carry cost of the cooling.
Where it falls short
Weight is the flagged weakness (1.79 kg — light by gaming standards, merely above-typical here), and the modeling/engineering CAD pair sits mid at 57: a thin-body thermal and CPU-platform story, not the GPU's. Value posts 39.4 (mid) at the launch-tier price.
Price and depreciation
No depreciation anchor is recorded (base $0); no curve or projection applies. As a 2026 listing there is no cohort history yet — full first-year exposure, no curve to lean on.
Alternatives to consider
The VenturePro A16 AI+ at $1,232 is the RTX 5050 route for $168 less; the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra at $954 is the prior 4050-class generation with performance 87.43 — the value route if the badge year is negotiable; the Prestige 14 AI Studio at $1,084 is the compact 3050 alternative.
Bottom line
Fairly priced for the class. The gaming-capable Galaxy: a real 5060 under a 1.79 kg lid with top-band gaming and photo readings — the ultrabook shelf's most capable new machine.
