Performance scores
MSI Stealth A18 AI+ (2025) — the 18-inch Stealth with a 5070 Ti heart
The Stealth A18 AI+ at $1,440 carries the same Ryzen AI 9 365 platform as its 16-inch sibling but escalates the graphics: a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (12 GB) and 96 GB of RAM. The flagged strengths are reliability at 86, the memory ceiling 50% above the class median, and CPU performance at 92.35; the flagged weakness is weight at 2.89 kg, 20.4% above typical.
Where it holds up
Every capability index lands in the top band: gaming 100, photo design 100, modeling 99, engineering CAD 99, office 98.15 and performance 91.75. The RTX 5070 Ti clears the recommended bar for Overwatch, Grand Theft Auto V and Rainbow Six Siege, the 96 GB ceiling doubles the class median, and reliability sits 62.3% above it. Value posts 67.95 (high) for the tier.
Where it falls short
Weight is the flagged weakness (2.89 kg, desktop-replacement adjacent), and portability reads 0 — the absolute floor that every 18-inch panel in this batch shares. That is the entire cost of the format; nothing else on the sheet dips below top band.
Price and depreciation
No depreciation anchor is recorded (base $0); no curve or projection applies. The 2025 cohort rate is 20% per year — the standard steep band for current-generation flagships.
Alternatives to consider
The Stealth A16 AI+ at the same price keeps genuine mobility (portability 33.7) with an RTX 4050; the Titan 18 HX AI (2025) at $1,440 matches the panel size, adds a 100-point CPU reading and 128 GB, and keeps the 5070 Ti.
Bottom line
Fairly priced for the class. A reliability-led 18-inch flagship: the full top-band index sweep on a 12 GB GPU, bought for the screen and the steadiness rather than the carry. Value at 67.95 (high) matches the 16-inch sibling at the same price.
