Performance scores
MSI Raider GE66 (2022) — the 15-inch Raider with the enthusiast GPU
The Raider GE66 (2022) at $737 compresses the Raider formula into 15 inches: the 99.9 Wh flagship battery — 40.7% above the class median, the flagged strength — with a 14-core Core i7-12700H and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (8 GB) scoring 82.83, 5.5% above the median at enthusiast level. No serious weak spot was flagged.
Where it holds up
Photo design posts 93 in the top band and office productivity 94.46 (top) — the familiar Raider pairing — while the GPU score sits above the class median with enthusiast-level grading, giving the 76 (high) gaming reading genuine substance. The RTX 3070 Ti clears the recommended bar for Overwatch, Grand Theft Auto V and Rainbow Six Siege, the 64 GB memory ceiling matches the class median, and the 99.9 Wh cell belongs to the batch's eleven-machine endurance cohort. Value reads 60.35 (mid).
Where it falls short
No serious weak spot was flagged by the verdict engine; the absolute floor is the standing one — portability nonetheless reads 28.6 in the low band. The 2022-generation platform leaves performance at 75.78 (high) rather than top, the honest age signature of a four-year-old machine.
Price and depreciation
No depreciation anchor exists for this listing (base $0); no curve or projection can be drawn. The 2022 cohort rate is 14.76% annually.
Alternatives to consider
The Raider GE67 (2022) at the same price is the stronger-CPU sibling with the same battery and GPU; the Stealth GS66 (2022) is the thinner-bodied alternative with the RTX 3060. Up-tier, the Vector GP68 (2023) at $922 brings the 4060 generation and an HX i9.
Bottom line
Fairly priced for the class. The compact Raider: enthusiast GPU level, a flagship battery and top photo numbers in a 15-inch frame — a steady, complete 2022 buy with only portability on the deduction side.
