Aspire 5 (2023, 7330U): the Vega formula, $553, photo 89
Acer's Aspire 5 A515-48 from 2023 asks $553 with a Ryzen 3 7330U, Radeon Vega 6 graphics and 16GB of RAM. The graphics axis reads 55.2 — double the category median — and photo design posts an outsized 89 in the top band. The flagged weakness is the standing one: 16GB at half the category's 32GB median.
The receipt book
The recommended checks pass for Overwatch, GTA V, Rainbow Six Siege, Photoshop minimum and Far Cry 5 recommended. Office reads 77.19 high, reliability 73 high, value 73.2 high, gaming 48 mid. The Vega 6 keeps delivering the same honest mid-tier GPU story it has carried since 2021 — and the 89-top photo reading is the surprise line on the sheet.
The caps
Memory at 16GB is the flagged limit, and performance sits mid at 53.31 with the 7330U doing Ryzen 3 work. Modeling 54 and CAD 54 mid repeat the Vega ceiling. Three years old at a 12.85% class rate, the depreciation has largely passed — the $553 ask reads as settled.
No depreciation anchor
No anchored price history backs this listing. Class rate 12.85% per year at three years of age — the steep part is behind it.
Against its alternatives
The 2021 A515-45 asks $154 less with the same Vega 6 and 40GB of RAM — the stronger memory position. The A515-58 (1335U) at the same $553 offers a newer Intel core with the same 55.2 graphics reading. This listing splits the difference: newest AMD platform at the mid price.
Bottom line
Photo design 89 top and a full receipt book at $553 on the proven Vega 6 platform — with the 16GB RAM flag as the one honest deduction. Buy it when photo-light work meets a mid budget; check the 40GB 2021 sibling first if memory matters more than the model year.
