Performance scores
A carry-first workstation with an entry card, priced like the big ones
The ZBook Firefly 14 G11 is a 2024 compact workstation: a Core Ultra 5 125H with an RTX A500 Mobile card of 4GB and 96GB of memory, listed at $1,408. Its measured strengths are mobility at 71 — ninety-seven percent above the workstation-class median of 36, top quartile — and reliability at 78, also top quartile, with the 96GB ceiling fifty percent above the class norm. Its measured weakness is the card's placing: 15.83 against a class median of 42.23, sixty-two percent below.
What the composition actually is
Read the two headline numbers together and the machine defines itself: a genuinely carryable professional chassis — the 71 mobility placing is elite for the workstation class — whose entry-tier Ada card is documented at exactly its level. The flag sheet agrees: Grand Theft Auto V clears minimum with a measured 140 frames, Overwatch clears minimum, and VS Code clears recommended. Min-level greens and a below-median placing are the honest signature of the entry card tier, stated here without inflation.
The ticket question
At $1,408 this listing prices with the big-screen professional seats on the same shelf — and those carry larger cards with stronger placings. What they do not carry is this weight class or the 96GB-plus-mobility combination. The buyer's arithmetic is therefore clean: pay the big-seat money for the small-seat carry, or take the big seat itself. The data supports either choice honestly; it does not support expecting big-seat frame rates from the A500.
Price trajectory
No depreciation anchor is recorded for this configuration. Current platforms lose their steepest value in the first two service years; the buyer should assume that curve applies here.
Against the alternatives
The analog block is empty. The same-price cluster on this shelf — the sixteen-inch ZBook seats — offers stronger graphics placings in heavier chassis; this listing holds the carry corner of the bracket with min-level receipts to match its card.
Bottom line
Fairly priced for the class if bought for what it is: an elite-carrying professional machine with an entry card and 96GB. For travel-first professional duty, rational; for frame rates, the same money buys bigger placings in bigger bodies.
