The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is a light refresh of the 2a formula: the same 6.7-inch 120 Hz OLED and 5,000 mAh battery, a slightly quicker Dimensity 7350 and faster 50 W charging. Everyday 51/100, gaming 16/100, screen 59/100 — the deltas over the standard model are real but small, which is exactly how the phone should be judged. The 8/256 configuration sells new at $399.

Display and design

The 6.7-inch OLED panel carries over: 120 Hz, 700 nits rated brightness, the same punch-hole and glyph rear. IP54 again covers dust and splashes, and the 190 g weight is unchanged. The Plus tells itself apart by colorways and a redesigned camera island more than by dimensions — this is a sibling, not a successor.

Performance

The Dimensity 7350 nudges the 7200's clock and efficiency; in practice the everyday score moves from 50 to 51 and gaming from 15 to 16 — measurable, not perceptible in most apps. The software remains one of the cleanest Android builds in the catalog, with three years of OS updates promised and one major version remaining.

Camera

The 50 MP main plus 50 MP ultrawide setup with OIS and 4K30 video is carried over untouched, and so is the verdict: a camera score of 33/100 built on consistent daylight capture and a serviceable ultrawide. Low light remains the main sensor's territory.

Battery and charging

The 5,000 mAh cell is the same; the upgrade is 50 W wired charging, lifting the charging score to 31/100 — from roughly 40 to about 45 minutes for a substantial top-up. Battery endurance lands at the same 40/100 as the standard model: a reliable full day.

Verdict

If the Phone (2a) is sold out or the price gap closes, the Plus is the same phone with a faster charger and fresher trim — there is no wrong answer between them. Against the Phone (2) the Plus still trades a tier of performance for a meaningfully lower price.
