The Apple iPhone 14 Plus is the big-battery mainstream iPhone: the same A15 Bionic and 12 MP dual camera as the 14, wrapped around a 6.7-inch OLED and a 4,325 mAh cell, at 203 g with IP68. Everyday 82/100, battery 27/100, compactness 78/100. New 6/128 units list at $899; used 6/128 units cluster around $280 — the cheapest two-day iPhone of its generation.

Display and design

The 6.7-inch OLED inherits the 14's 800-nit, 60 Hz panel at the larger diagonal (screen 39/100) — the same fundamentals, more of them. At 203 g with flat edges, Ceramic Shield and IP68, it is a Max-class body with mainstream internals. Compactness 78/100: two hands recommended, one possible.

Performance

The A15 Bionic needs no apology: everyday 82/100, gaming 37/100, with the larger body dissipating sustained loads even better than the 14. Two major OS versions remain.

Camera

Identical to the iPhone 14: 12 MP stabilized main, 12 MP ultrawide, 4K60, camera 22/100 — the same excellent video, the same two-lens ceiling.

Battery and charging

The 4,325 mAh cell in an efficient chassis is the reason to choose the Plus: battery 27/100 for the catalog, and in practice the most enduring mainstream iPhone of 2022 — two days of moderate use. 20 W wired and 15 W MagSafe charging (2/100) remain unhurried.

Verdict

The 14 Plus is the rational big iPhone: 14 Pro Max endurance and screen size without the Pro tax, at $280 used. Against the 14 Pro Max the missing pieces are 120 Hz and the telephoto; against the 14 it is simply more phone for a modest premium.
